Dr. Daniel DiLeo is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Endoscopy at the VA New York Harbor Health Care System’s Brooklyn Campus. He specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology with a broad clinical and research focus that includes endoscopy quality and innovation, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, artificial intelligence applications in gastrointestinal care, hepatocellular carcinoma, and metabolic-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).
Dr. DiLeo completed his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NYU Langone Health.
At the Brooklyn VA Medical Center, Dr. DiLeo focuses on advancing endoscopic care, procedural quality, and the development of a strong research environment that supports innovation and high‑quality care for veterans.
